Introduction to the Buckner Build Project

A Home Building Missions Experience 

We're excited to announce that FBC Garland was able to participate in a Buckner International Remote Build called "House of Hope" to build a home for a family in the Rio Grande Valley. The project kicked off with our Student Ministry DNow weekend on Saturday, January 18, 2025.

For several years, teams from our church have worked on site in the Rio Grande Valley. This year we will have the privilege of beginning the building process HERE on our own church property! We loved serving with our church family on Saturdays in January, February, and March to contribute to the building of the home. 

Once the build was completed, a team of our high school students traveled to the Rio Grande Valley to build the home for the family on its permanent site.

Project Dates:
January 18: Project kicks off with Student Ministry taking the first shift during their DiscipleNow Weekend.
January 25: Build Day
February 8: Build Day
February 15: Build Day
February 22: Build Day
March 1: Build Day
March 8: Family Day- All teams celebrate, pray over the home, eat lunch, and sign studs and frames with scripture and encouragement
March 15: High School Spring Break Mission Trip departs for Rio Grande Valley to build the home onsite for the family.
