At First Baptist, Sunday School is our foundational strategy for leading people to faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and for building on-mission Christians through Bible Study groups that engage people in evangelism, discipleship, ministry, fellowship, and worship.
It's been said that Christians are like bananas; they grow best in bunches. At First Baptist, we believe small group Bible Study is critically important.
We place a high value on this time for several reasons, including the following:
-
The Bible is God's Word to us, and studying it provides us with a clearer picture of who God is and how we can know Him personally and intimately.
-
Studying in small groups provides an opportunity to make friends and develop meaningful relationships.
-
Studying the Bible together with others helps us grow to become the people God intends us to be.
- For Children and Youth, small group Bible classes allow more time for focused care and individual attention
-
Small groups also provide the chance to seek answers about life from the ultimate authority - God Himself
-
It is in our Bible Study classes where love, acceptance, support, and Christian community are best demonstrated
-
Being consistently involved in one of our Bible Studies will draw you closer to God.
We offer Sunday School Classes for everyone, from birth through senior adulthood. Our Sunday School classes meet on Sunday mornings at 10:00 a.m.
In addition to our Sunday morning Bible Studies, we offer topical Bible Study opportunities for adults in Adult Discipleship Classes on Sunday evenings in the Fall and Winter/Spring periods.
